Goodbye, 2008. Hello, 2009.

Wednesday, December 31, 2008

I wasn’t going to write a post for today.  It’s New Year’s Eve, and I’m still mostly on holiday hiatus from work.  As the year comes to a close, I felt it only appropriate to give thanks. I’ve been very blessed in 2008.  Thank you, God, I’m alive.  At a time of such trouble in the U.S. and the world, I have a roof over my head.  Food to eat.  Clothes on my back.  There are too many people right now who can’t say that.

I launched my stationery company this year after 2.5 years of planning, planning, planning. I learned how to run my design business better.  I’ve met some awesome people - new friends, new colleagues, new mentors.  You rock, and I look forward to growing our relationships.  Thank you.  (more…)

Don’t fret - thank you notes needn’t be excruciating to write.  In fact, there’s a really simple formula to make writing them painless.  Write quick and easy thank you notes by following these easy steps: (more…)

Merry Christmas!

Wednesday, December 24, 2008

I’m on vacation.  (More like a staycation.)  Come on - it is Christmas Eve, after all!  Can’t a girl get a break?  In lieu of a normal post, I just want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas.

Check back on Friday and we’ll be back to our regularly scheduled program.  Deal?  Deal.

Cheers!

Think ink! Loving Le Pen.

Monday, December 22, 2008

Most stationery junkies like myself have a favorite writing instrument.  For things like as making notes in books or scribbling a plan out on paper, I opt for pencil - mechanical, preferably.  But for virtually everything else - from letters to shopping lists, I prefer ink.  Blue ink, at that.

So when I take pen to pad, here’s what I use: (more…)
