I don’t think you said anything to your friend about it. She was probably really embarrassed about not getting back to you sooner, and you let her save face.

Sometimes being a good friend requires completely ignoring the B.S. reason given as to why your friend didn’t get back to you in a reasonable time period, which would be, say … fewer than 10 weeks.
